We love Kush strains and 18Twelve 8 Ball Kush has been on our radar the last month.
18Twelve is a west coast grower with a purpose-built indoor facility. Their website claims that every plant is flushed for two weeks to ensure no residual nutrients are present. Plus they cure for a minimum of two weeks, ensuring optimal flavour, potency and a terpene-rich experience.
8 Ball Kush has 2 dominant terpenes that give the strain it’s earthy and musky profile with spicy and citrusy accents. In case you’re wondering… those terpenes are caryophyllene (found in black pepper) and limonene (found in citrus rinds). So how does it compare with something like DOJA’s Sour Kush?
Smell
The product arrived in an industry standard white plastic container. When we popped off the lid we were instantly met with a strong musky, earthy aroma with a small cirtus undertone. The smell was really fresh and you could tell without even looking at the product that was going to be good.
Appearance
Extremely impressive! 4 large spongy top buds, very well trimmed, beautiful shades of green and smattering of red hairs that “pop” throughout. Can’t overlook the light frosting of trichomes – its the only thing we want to see more of on these buds… if that’s possible. However the careful attention they paid to trimming the plants is noticeable. This might be one of the nicest looking in terms of bud presentation, not a single piece of shake.
Flavour
8 Ball Kush brings what you expect. Its smell being a reflection of what’ll you’ll enjoy when lighting this bud up. A strong earthy herbal taste ending on a slight citrus note. This ones tastes as good as it smells and looks.
Experience
Our latest container (we’ve ordered this product many times) was part of lot number LOTXFYZDJASM3G and packaged on October 20, 2021. Listed with 25.3% THC content this product is just plain great. We assume the name must come from how you feel afterwards – it delivers a very strong buzz that’s glassy-eyed inducing combined with a strong feeling of muscular lethargy. 8 Ball Kush from the team at 18Twelve is a must try and one of the overall better indica strains we’ve seen so far.

This one had minimal to complain about – it was amazing. The body buzz was a bit strong which we thought may not appeal to some. It’s a minimal complaint lol.
But if you haven’t tried this one out Dayna I would definitely give it a try. I wish 18Twelve made another product, but this is the only one we’ve seen so far from them.

I wish 18Twelve made other products too. I’ve had this lucky 8 ball kush a few times now and wow! That stank when you pop the lid of the generic bottle. That overall appearance of the those dark green buds to when that magical rush scores the knockout punch on your brain is what makes it most memorable. This one is certainly not for the newb or faint of heart. Its got a pretty intense flavor that won’t appeal to everyone and it’s a tad expensive but you definitely get what you paid for.
