Aurora Cannabis MK Ultra Review & Photos

MK Ultra from Aurora Cannabis is an indica-dominant strain with high THC potential that features dense, orange-tinged buds.

Aurora Cannabis describes their MK Ultra strain as having a strong, earthy flavour with hints of citrus and spice.

MK Ultra’s terpene profile is combination of myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene and it’s cultivation origins can be traced back to OG Kush and G-13. On their website, Aurora describes how this strain is grown in a state-of-the-art facility specifically designed to deliver consistent, superior quality product.

This all sounds wonderful, but how does MK Ultra measure up?

Smell

Ah MK Ultra, you’ve been a parent to many but what are you all about ? The product arrived in a small industry standard black plastic container with security top. Opening the lid revealed an amazing aroma that starts with lemon citrus before morphing into a piney sweet hoppy end. We were quite surprised at how great this bud smells.

Appearance

Slowly pouring out the contents of the all black container we begin to see small nice nuggests which appear a bit leafy and fluffy. These buds have a great balance of red hairs to green leafage and finish solid with a thorough dusting of trichomes.

Flavour

MK Ultra has pulled a quick one on us! Gone is the prominent refreshing lemon and in its place is a moderately harsh piney wood flavour which tapers off to be a “too soon departed” hoppy lemon zest. The flavour was a bit disappointing given its wonderful smell.

Experience

In all honesty, MK Ultra from Aurora Cannabis has left us a little disappointed after such a aromatically strong start. Plus, this strain is extremely popular so we were expecting more of a bang, however given the lower price point maybe we should not have had such high expectations. Given the average mild mental high hand in hand with an equally mild eyes-focused body buzz.

Summary
MK Ultra from Aurora Cannabis has a wonderful smell but only average when it came to flavour. However given the lower price point maybe we should not have had such high expectations. Given the average mild mental high hand in hand with an equally mild eyes-focused body buzz.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Cannibros after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.
