Greenman Acres Mother of Berries (M.O.B) Review

Mother of Berries (M.O.B) is a fruity indica-dominant strain with high THC potential that Greenman Acres organically grows in their family-owned Canadian business.

Greenman Acres Mother of Berries (M.O.B) is a potent indica-dominant strain known for it’s unmistakable blueberry fragrance.

This delicious aroma and flavour is the result of primary terpenes that includes cederene, caryophyllene, limonene and bisabolol. (If you’re curious about how terpenes affect cannabis, click here.) The large and chunky buds associated with M.O.B are commonly blended with tones of purple and dark green, which are hidden under a thick frosting of trichomes. Greenman Acres is family-owned and operated in Georgian Bay. They share a passion for cannabis and strive to produce some of the best organically grown cannabis available.

But how does Mother of Berries from Greenman Acres smoke?

Smell

The product arrived from Greenman Acres in a darkened glass container which is a win both for the environment and as a reusable storage container. Plus, they also included a moisture pack (something more brands need to use) so that’s another point for showing they care about how the product arrives to the customer. Uncapping the lid released an impressive but quite mild smell that reminded us of fresh berries with an notable earthy undertone. Similar to berries that you might find freshly picked at the farmers market.

Appearance

Here’s a great reason why we trust pictures more than our eyes. Our eyes saw very dark hues of green and orange though not much else. Our camera on the other hand does this bud more justice. Once the camera flash snapped the twinkle of the trichomes that cover the dark buds become much more apparent.

Flavour

The flavour from Greenman Acres’ Mother of Berries surprised us a bit. We could only detect a mild but distinct taste of freshly cleaned mixed berries. The flavour is nice but nowhere near the strongest of best berry flavoured cannabis we’ve come across. It falls somewhere in the middle of the pack… not great but not bad either.

Experience

Mother of Berries from Greenman Acres delivers a great buzz that is neither too heavy nor too mild. Equally focused between calming mental and mild physical tingling vibes. This product leaves you feeling relaxed and in a good state of mind. We just wish the smell and flavour were a lot stronger.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Merry Jade after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.
