LowBanks Grow Citrique Review

Citrique from Lowbanks Grow is described as having a citrus-like aroma, dense buds and purple hues on it's leaves.

LowBanks Grow Citrique is a hybrid strain that was created by crossing Lime Skunk with Orange Valley OG.

Known for it’s citrus-like aroma (hence the name), purple highlights on the leaves, orange pistils and a moderate layer of trichome crystals. We’re not familiar with Citrique or the Lowbanks Grow brand so it will be interesting to see the quality of the product. Let’s see how it compares to other citrusy strains like Ultra Sour or even Sour OG.

Smell

The product arrived from Lowbanks Grow in tall black plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. We tore open the package expecting a citrus aroma but actually smelled very little. Possibly a very very weak citrus scent but it was barely detectable. The label states it was packaged on October 12, 2021 so it’s nearly 5 months old.

Appearance

We dumped out the contents and noticed there was no humidity shield which was not surprising, however the level of dryness was a bit shocking. This flower is one of the driest flowers we’ve seen so far and simply touching it caused flakes to turn into powder. On a positive note, the buds were quite large which was nice but it’s really hard to overlook the dry state of the product.

Flavour

The citrus flavour here is far more pronounced than the aroma. The citrusy taste is noticeable in a brief burst when you inhale but it fades rather quickly. Also be prepared for a harsh smoking experience but you might have figured that already due to the dryness.

Experience

Listed with 20.1% THC content and a price tag of $19.95 for 3.5 grams, we found this product offers some value but certainly has negative aspects. Citrique from Lowbanks Grow delivered a moderate mental buzz combined with a mellow body vibe which added to the sense of serenity. However you better be prepared for an extremely dry flower even if it comes at a reasonable cost.

Summary
Citrique from Lowbanks Grow is a hybrid with mild cirtrus aroma and flavour. Although the flower was extremely dry we felt there is some value here given the price of $19.95 for 3.5 grams. It delivered a moderate mental buzz combined with a mellow body vibe which added to the sense of serenity. A decent experience but be prepared for an extremely dry flower and harsh smoke.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Merry Jade after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.

  1. Hi. This is another excellent review from Cannibros.

I purchased this product before reading this review. The review very accurately describes my own experience with Lowbank’s Critique.

The high was about a medium for me, which was good. Probably right where I wanted to be. Definitely not weak, but also not incapacitated. In other words, I was satisfied by the effects.

Taste: I cannot comment. Except for a few specific strains, I do not generally taste anything.

The smoke was somewhat harsh but in the acceptable range for me.

    Smell: none.

As the review clearly and accurately states, this bud was extremely dry. You can make a fine powder just with your fingers. The bud immediately disintegrates into dusty powder inside the grinder.

    Thankfully, the price was low.

I would not buy this product again… unless the price came down even lower (It’s worth maybe $3 or $3.50 per gram… maybe).

Regarding the awful dryness, unlike others, I don’t mind powder as long as the powder achieves a suitable high for me, which it did.
