Citrus and berry-infused cannabis has always held a special place among connoisseurs. Therefore, when we discovered Ogen Lemon Z, we immediately recognized the need to feature it in our upcoming review.
Ogen refers to this strain as Lemon Z #42 and its described as having a punchy lemon aroma with hints of warm brown sugar and chocolate. So how does it compare to similar offerings like the Lemon Zkttl strain?
Smell
Popping the top on this container released a mild aroma matching the label. A faint lemony citrus smell can be detected similar to that of a lemon garnish.
Appearance
This is the first spice-style container we’ve come across. Inside were buds of mid-size proportions that had vibrant brown hairs and bright green flower. Dense, solid, and trichome-laden. However it was dry and there was a noticeable amount of shake in the bottom.
Flavour
Lemon Z from Ogen delivers what it promises. A steady mild lemon citrus flavour. While enjoying this bud, I happened to wonder if it would make a great garnish.
Experience
Listed has having 21.8% THC content and a price tag of $39.95 for 3.5 grams this product falls right in the middle of the pack. It delivered a calm and clear minded high. This lemon scented piece of joy delivered exactly what we were expecting. Although not the strongest in aroma or flavour, anyone who enjoys cannabis with a hint of citrus will like this strain. We recently reviewed Ogen’s Freshly Baked #76 and thought it was great, so if you’re looking for a sweet sativa you might want to check that product as well.

Too hit and miss with Ogen. I’ve had Lemon Z twice now. First time was mediocre and the second was good. Yes to the shake at the bottom the container. Not much smell in either experience and the Sativa-like high was really meh! Now in the second sitting, the flavor was certainly there where as the first experience was pretty muddled in comparison. Like flowers in the forest. I think the second go around really exemplified flavor as what I can only describe as a woodsy lemonade. Sadly, there would likely be more consistency if Ogen invested in humectant packs. The excessive dryness I think really hurts the flavor and flat out murders the stank.

We just got their Freshly Baked #76 (sativa) and so far it’s looking pretty good. Review on that one coming some time in the next week. Agree about the humidity packs, I don’t understand why so many brands are skipping this step. It’s like why go through all that trouble just to let it dry out in the container.
