When we discovered Sundial Strawberry Twist which was their hybrid version of the Strawberry Banana strain… we ordered it immediately.
Strawberry Banana is a cannabis strain that was originally created by DNA Genetics. It’s a cross of Crockett’s Banana Kush and the “Strawberry” phenotype of Bubble Gum. The end result is a potent hybrid with a sweet, fruity flavor, which is obviously where the name is derived.
The package arrived yesterday so we wanted to get the review and photos up right away. How does this product compare to similar strains like Strawberry Cake from Vertical Cannabis?
Smell
After opening this Sundial container of Strawberry Twist we were immediately greeted with the mild scent of strawberries. It was not overpowering but the aroma was sweet and fresh.
Appearance
The contents can easily be summarized as being small dense buds coated in clumps of strawberry red pistils. There was some shake in the bottom of the container but pretty minimal. Overall this bud looks good but not the same level as Tokyo Smoke’s Pause – which is another version of this Strawberry Banana strain.
Flavour
What a surprise! The mild scent tricks you into thinking the flavour will be similar. But that was not the case. This strain has a deliciously sweet and strong strawberry candy taste.
Experience
The experience from Sundial’s Strawberry Twist is not bad. The high makes you feel moderately foggy minded while still being able to function, albeit a little slower than usual. We reviewed Sundial’s Blue Nova strain and actually prefer that product over this one.
