The Loud Plug Exotic Gas is a newer hybrid strain that was created by crossing Headband with Rockstar.
Our research yielded limited information about this cultivar, relying mainly on the details provided by The Loud Plug brand. According to their description, the buds showcase a frosty, lime green hue adorned with orange pistils and occasional specks of purple. The flavour profile, as described by The Loud Plug, promises a blend of pine and skunk, attributed to the dominant terpenes caryophyllene and limonene. Given that Exotic Gas marks our inaugural experience with The Loud Plug, we’re particularly intrigued about its overall quality.
Smell
The product arrived in a medium sized purple bag with resealable zipper top. We ripped open the package and detected the aroma of gas with mild skunky undertones that was not pungent or too overpowering. Although this sounds like a bad thing, it’s really not as we find sometimes strains with gassy origins can be a bit too potent.
Appearance
In terms of appearance The Loud Plug has done a nice job with this strain. These buds were all smaller than popcorn but at the same time very firm and dense like little pebbles. The colours were bright with clear specks of purple on the tips that contrasted well against each other. Covering the nugs was a healthy layer of frosty trichomes and since they included a humidity shield in the bag we found the flower maintained freshness pretty well.
Flavour
To truly capture the flavor profile of Exotic Gas, envision yourself on the verge of taking a sip of a freshly poured soda. As you raise the glass to your lips and inhale, you feel the effervescence dancing above the beverage. That’s precisely how the flavour of Exotic Gas struck us. Surprisingly, we didn’t detect much of the pine notes mentioned by The Loud Plug, but the soda-like sensation was undeniably present.
