Today’s review is another strain that we could not find much information except from the brand themselves.

Royal Dankness from Tweed is a hybrid that was created by crossbreeding Dancehall with Respect. Their website indicates the buds are small, dense and covered with an orange hue and dense layer of amber trichomes. In terms of taste, many users report a combination of fruity, spicy, and skunky flavours with sweet herbal and floral aroma.

Tweed products have been hit and miss so far. We thought their Afghan Kush was good, but were not fans of their Hindu Kush or Balmoral strain. So how does Royal Dankness compare?

Check our review, rating and photos below.

Smell

The product arrived in Tweed’s standard square shaped metal container with security lid. We cracked open the top and were hit with a moderately strong aroma of sweet floral and earthy herbal. Not much else to say, the smell is pleasant but we wish it was a bit more robust.

Appearance

None of the products we’ve seen from Tweed are going to win any awards for appearance and Royal Dankness definitely continues this trend! It looks as though someone just pulled it out of their pocket after sitting on it all day. The dubs are small, stemmy and have a drab olive green tone uniformly. The brown hairs don’t do much to liven up the appearance, however there does seem to be a significant layer of trichomes.

Flavour

Luckily we can report the taste is much better then the appearance. After inhaling we detected the same profile as the smell; earthy herbal that leans into earthy aspect upfront before smoothing out into herbal-ness. We also noted a sweet floral undertone but this was secondary to the earthy herbal.

Experience

Tweed’s Royal Dankness is listed at 23.7% THC so we expected it to have some kick when we ordered. However after seeing the product, some of us felt the experience would be less then anticipated. However we’re happy to report it delivered a strong buzz that’s moderate on the mind creating pausing moments of thought combined with a mild to moderate body buzz. Given the low price of $26.95 for 3.5 grams we think this would make a great hybrid for chilling after work.

Royal Dankness from Tweed is a strong hybrid with a combination earthy herbal and sweet floral flavour. It delivered a strong buzz that was moderate on the mind creating pausing moments of thought combined with a mild to moderate body buzz. Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Cannibros after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.
