I’m ready to test anything with the word Cookie in it.
Weed Me Mandarin Cookie is reported as having an earthy herbal aroma with distinct citrus overtones. Although they classify it as a sativa dominant cultivar, this flower is actually a hybrid that was created by crossing Forum Cut Cookies and Mandarin Sunset.
But how does it compare to their other products… Weed Me’s Do-Si-Dos or the sweet tasting Wedding Cake from Weed Me?
Smell
Having never tried Mandarin Cookie before but being aware of its popular reputation, we were really looking forward to reviewing this strain. It arrived in a medium sized white bag with zip seal. And what a delightful surprise, upon opening the bag, the first thing I smelt was sweet tangerines with a hint of earthy spice – intriguing.
Appearance
Visually this bud looks great! Absolutely stunning! From the cake like frosting of heavy trichomes down to the purple and dark green collage of solid buds. The amble pistils are actually covered and hidden by trichomes. On the negative side, it was quite dry and flakey. You’ll see some of the shake and dry leaf in the photos below. This problem could easily be solved by protecting the terpenes and plant with simple a moisture pack.
Flavour
This one is extremely tricky to describe … for some reason it reminded of the cookies lady fingers. However there was a clear touch of orange and citrus. Light, tasty but subtle, and so smooth. Refreshing! The smell and flavour are both perfect matches to the strain name.
Experience
Mandarin Cookie has performed really well up to this point and did not disappoint at the end. The smoking experience is best described as a strong peaceful and calm high. You feel relaxed and mellow without being too sleepy. Weed Me’s Mandarin Cookie is a strain to definitely look out for especially if you enjoy citrusy cannabis.

Thanks for the review! Being that I have anxiety I generally stay away from the sativa end of things because it doesn’t vibe with me at all. So the “tranquility inducing” comment made me go ahead with smoking it 🙂
The only critique I think I’d give on reviewing cannabis is I’d LOVE if there was more commentary on the terpenes involved. They’re sooo important in the taste/flavour as well as the high that comes along with it – not to mention their medicinal properties!
Other than that, I appreciate what you guys are doing here, I use your reviews regularly so keep it up! 🙂
