M’mosa from Edison Cannabis Co. is an sativa-dominant strain that was created by crossing Purple Punch with Clementine to produce a thick and potent flower.

Edison describes this strain as resembling little evergreen trees with rounded tops and a spongy feel. The flower colour is typically an olive green with bunches of orange pistils and hints of dark purple on the tips. Finally the buds are coated in a thin layer of trichomes that give them a shimmer. In terms of smell, you can expect a distinct citrus aroma paired with a flavour profile that includes woody and herbal undertones. This sounds great but how does Edison’s M’mosa smoke?

Smell

We’ve reviewed a lot of Edison products so we have pretty high expectations for this one even though it’s listed at 17/18% THC. The product arrived in Edison’s typical blue plastic container with security lid and moisture shield inside. We popped open the lid and were met with a moderately strong of orange peels with emphasis on the peel. It definitely leans into the citrus but bitter rather than juicy or sweet.

Appearance

The colourful nature of these buds do the name justice. Vibrant, lush and tick, these medium sized dense buds are well trimmed and covered in trichomes. Although Edison described the hairs as muted orange, they looked pretty bright to us which adds a nice contrast the olive tone of the leaves.

Flavour

While expecting the orange peel aroma to be present in the flavour profile, we found this not to be entirely true. From the first inhale onward there was a strong earthy, herbal flavour with woody undertones that nearly extinguishes any citrus flavour until right near the end.

Experience

Edison’s M’mosa strain delivered a good but somewhat surprising high. It’s strong with a combination of mental relaxation and calmness combined with a moderately strong lethargic feeling. The feeling of lethargy was the surprising part as sativa dominant strains generally create an uplifting and energetic high without many other affects. We love Edison, particularity their Black Cherry Punch strain, but we’d probably pass on this one in the future.

Summary
M'mosa from Edison Cannabis Co is a sativa-dominant strain with a herbally citrus aroma and woody flavour. It delivered a strong high that combined mental relaxation and calmness with a moderately strong lethargic feeling. The feeling of lethargy was the surprising part as sativa dominant strains generally produce and uplifting energetic high without many other affects. It has a very affordable price, but if you're looking for a sativa then you have some better options.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Cannibros after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.
