Hexo Tsunami (Northern Berry) Review

Tsunami is a dark green indica-dominant variety of Northern Lights from Hexo. It has hints of purple, light orange hairs, a heavy dusting of trichomes, a conical shape and very strong THC potency.

This Northern Lights and Blueberry hybrid is grown by Hexo inside their Quebec based greenhouses with custom feed solutions. After harvest they hand-manicure and sorted with a slow drying and curing process. This ensures the best possible flavour profile, which includes mango, lemon grass, hops and thyme from the myrcene, and black pepper, cloves and balsam from the caryophyllene in its terpene mix.

The wonderful pleasant scent of this bud hits one like a Tsunami as soon as you open the package. It is reminiscent of strong sweet berries, yum!

Covered in frosty trichomes upon a closer inspection, this cornucopia mix of green and brown haired buds, appear quite solid and dense.

While the flavor isn’t very strong, the taste of wood with a faint hint of berries is detected, making it overall enjoyable.

There’s enough good things to be said about Hexo Tsunami that’s for sure. The high is very strong which adds to the great experience and value offered. This strain on OCS is definitely the best bang for your buck hands down! Quality and price exactly where you want them, available for purchase in ounces. ‘Nuff said.

We were really impressed with Tsunami from the Hexo team. The strong high is even more impressive given the lower price point. This strain is the best bang for your buck hands we've seen so far. Quality and price exactly where you want them.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Cannibros after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.

Have your say!

  1. Is this the same strain as the UP20 Northern Berry? If it is, you guys rated the northern berry a lot lower than the Tsunami.

    Just saying.

    • Hi Barb! Great question. The strain is likely the same but we’ve noticed quite a bit of variance between brands (even though they are growing the same plant). That difference was one of the reasons we started the site – we wanted to track the quality not only of strains but the specific growers too.

      • This weed is garbage biker pot from quebec

        • We haven’t had this one in a while… but it was great when we ordered. The quality has dropped a lot?

  2. Excellent article!
